These sterling silver stud earrings are based on the romantic and tragic life of Mary Queen of Scots, and in particular her time in France. They feature the emblem of the Fleur De Lis, which is associated with the French monarchy, and come with a presentation box.
Mary lived at the French court for much of her youth and went on to marry the Dauphin Francis (the heir to the French throne). In 1559, Francis was crowned King of France and Mary became Queen, but their reign was brief. Francis died less than a year later and Mary returned to Scotland.
